Serra-Natto is an enzyme blend specially designed to naturally reduce inflammation and pain from inflammation. This formula is designed to have a high level of proteolytic activity on the systemic level, making it an excellent supplement for those who suffer from chronic and occasional inflammation.

Inflammation, regardless of its organic cause, results from a pro-inflammatory cascade involving the generation of pro-inflammatory cytokins and damaging oxidative species. Ideally, biological mechanism eventually attenuate or shut down the inflammatory cascade, once the initial cause of inflammation is resolved. However, in chronic inflammatory conditions, these mechanism fail and the inflammatory response becomes self-sustaining. The individual protease, Nattozimes, and Serrazimes have great potential for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions, because they can interfere with parts of the inflammation cascade; thus breaking the self-sustaining inflammatory cycle.

Proteolytic Enzymes

Protease 4.5 is a mixture of acid, neutral and alkaline protease that demonstrate both exo-peptidase and endo-peptidase activity with high substrate. Protease 4.5 has an effective pH range of 2.75 to 6.25

Protease 6.0 is a mixture of acid, neutral and alkaline protease that demonstrate both exo-peptidase and endo-peptidase activity with high substrate. Protease 6.0 has an effective pH range of 2.75 to 7.0

Peptidase This enzyme system contains a very high level of exo-peptidase activity. The high exo-peptidase level allows the user to obtain a high degree of protein hydrolysis without formation of bitter products. Peptidase has an effective pH range from 3.25 to 7.5.

Bromelain contains several proteolytic enzymes, which differ in their specifically and optimum environment. Bromelain has an effective pH range of 4.0 to 9.0. Bromelain has been extensively studied, both in experimental models and clinical studies, for its effects on the inflammatory response. It was introduced as a therapeutic agent in 1957, and there is extensive research supporting its beneficial effects, including reducing inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.

Dosage Recommendations
